Today is St. Brigid’s Day reportedly. She lived from her birth in 451 until 1.2.525. (No, I don’t know how Google knows that!) There is a holy well and prayer tree dedicated to her so for my ‘Paper’ topic I chose a tree with ‘prayer slips’ flying from it.
1st February also marks the Pagan Festival of Imbolc – the beginning of spring. It seems a little optimistic but you never know.

I have recently enjoyed Elly Griffiths’ Ruth Galloway novels. Ruth is a forensic archaeologist and liaises with a police team (with more liaisons than the Bloomsbury Group). There is also a wizard who would celebrate Imbolc.
