This is a tiny image – only 4.5 inches square – but I find it pleasing because you have to seek out the man of the title. A representation of a happy day out exploring the surroundings of an old English church.

I see the outline of the man.. the church not so much, maybe I’m just art blind?
As it says, he’s at the gate in the surroundings of the church. You cannot see the church!
I actually see two people. One is a profile and one is a shadow. Isn’t wonderful that we see different things in each others’ work that perhaps was not intended. I love this piece!
