The day the trees left

The day the trees left

Sometimes artwork is disappointing and I threw this one away! But I like the idea and the title and one day will get round to using them again.

Tower of Fools

Tower of Fools

The things in my imagined landscapes come from patterns and designs that I ‘find’ as the painting grows. I heard of the Tower of Fools at an exhibition at the Wellcome Foundation a while ago. Image approx. 10×8 inches (25.5×20 cm).

RWS Contemporary Watercolour Competition

Hurrah! One of my entries has been accepted.

Two figures stand in front of a country scene. Typical lopsided landscape by Catherine Redmayne for RWS
A hand on the shoulder

Recent small pictures for the 365 course are on my diary page.

The big house

an imaginary landscape from Catherine Redmayne
The big house

Another imaginary landscape of houses in the countryside. A yellow rainbow under a purple sky seems unlikely but most things I paint are unlikely. Mixed media on paper 10×8 inches (25×20 cm).
