This woman was on a multi-coloured collaged background but that had been painted out so the orange is set starkly against the light blue. Mixed media work with collage. An illustration made on the iPad to accompany a very morbid fairy tale in the series with Carla Sonheim. Here a princess picks flowers in an enchanted garden, little knowing each one will transform one of her brothers into a raven.

A fun experiment in trying to get a sumi-e look on the iPad using the Brushes App. The sparrow ‘paintings’ were then printed on silk and added to a background of prepared papers in a collage.
