Faces of me!
Encouraged to find colour palettes and do self-portraits for my week’s lesson on Year of the Spark, I have done three faces. Here they are with the colour selections.
Veiled
Now you see it, now you don’t! Another face stares back at me of a woman with heavy veiling thrown back over her shoulder..

No, I don’t know what he’s riding except it’s got ears! Acrylic monotype with pencil drawing. Pastel colours for a change.

You have to look hard to see if there really are dancers in there or they are implied by the pattern!

A collage of decorated oriental papers with the barest minimum of line-work to show the face. Image size 8×10 inches (20×25.5 cm approx). The original drawing may have been after a tribal mask – but I can’t recognise it now! It was fun to do anyway.

Is she an artist’s model? Or just a woman enjoying the warmth falling on her through the blinds which provide seclusion?
